How do you go about getting your website up and running?
We can help. Below we will give step-by-step instructions on how to get
your act together, and what we can do to help you.
- Figure out what your website is supposed to do.
Sounds obvious, but you would be surprised at the number of folks who really
don't know. Is the website to promote a particular business,
organization or church. Is the site going to need to collect money
directly over the web. There are many ways of doing this, and we can
show you a couple of good ways of handling this without much up front costs.
- Do your Homework. If this is a business
website, do some internet searching for whatever it is you hope to market,
and see what others are doing. Check several of the common search
engines such as YAHOO, GOOGLE,
or ALTA-VISTA. See what others are
doing, and think about what you can do to stand out in a crowd.
Remember, the more unique your products are, the smaller the competition to
have to fight. If you're not able or willing to compete with what the
majority of other companies are providing, then maybe an e-commerce website
is not for you. You may want to stick with a site that your direct
customer base can go to for more information about your company and
products.
